Valentine's Day and Nyetimber in Borough Market this weekend, 13 Feb

It seems like Christmas was just yesterday but Valentine's Day is coming up quick! We here at Borough Wines would like to help you out. What's better then a lovely, jubbly bottle of English sparkling wine? That's right, English sparkling wine is coming to the market.

We are going to be showcasing and tasting Nyetimber's sparkling wine this weekend. Nyetimber has won numerous awards in the international arena and we are extremely pleased to be able to offer their sparklers.

Nyetimber's 2003 vintage was recently crowned the 'Champion of Worldwine Sparkling Wines' in a competition sponsored by the Italian magazine, Euposia. According to Eric Heerema, the owner of Nyetimber in West Chiltington, Sussex,"... the success of the wine was due to the hot summer of 2003, which produced the winning grapes. He (also) said: “It really has been an extremely exciting year for all of us. This is a significant win on the international stage and to win against champagnes is extremely rewarding.”

So come down and try for yourself what all the fuss is about and while you're at it, pick up a bottle or two for your sweetheart!
